Still Surviving every Prejudice
Rapid aging? Discolourations? Tears and leaky points? These are the prejudices that ETFE foils and foil construction have long since disproved.
Thanks to their resistance to atmospheric conditions, wind and snow load, hail and chemicals, ETFE foils have a very long life span. This has been shown by countless tests and experience.
For more than 30 years, fluorine plastic foils have been exposed to natural and artificialweather tests. Up to now, they have not experienced any fundamental changes. In particular, the tests take into consideration high UV-rays (endurance tests in Arizona and in Miami) and extraordinarily high levels of air pollution. In this context, it must be emphasised that ETFE foils are not stabilised using chemical additives, but instead are UV-transparentand UV-resistant. It is also not expected that the foil material be broken down by environmental impact.
